Premier League Kick-off Times in Nigeria: WAT Guide

PITCHNIVO displays football kick-off times in West Africa Time (WAT), the time used in Nigeria. That makes it easier to plan around a match without converting from a UK listing yourself.

What WAT means

West Africa Time is UTC+1. A kick-off shown as 16:00 WAT is at 4 pm in Nigeria. The date matters too: a late match elsewhere can fall on a different calendar day in another time zone.

Why a UK listing can look different

The UK uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) in part of the year and British Summer Time (BST) when its clocks move forward. When the UK is on GMT, Nigeria is one hour ahead; when the UK is on BST, the clock time matches WAT.

  • Example during GMT: 15:00 in the UK is 16:00 WAT.
  • Example during BST: 15:00 in the UK is 15:00 WAT.

Check the final time

These are time-zone examples, not fixture announcements. Premier League dates and times can move, so check the current match listing again before kick-off. If a feed is updating, allow for a delay before treating a time as final.
